NoBis crowd monitoring service

NoBis crowd monitoring service

NoBis is a QR-based crowd monitoring service that allows citizens to monitor in real time the crowd level of public and private places and adapt their mobility accordingly.

NoBis is anonymous, privacy-compliant, easy-to-use, ready-to-deploy, and totally free service, and represents a promising tool in the fight against the spreading of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project was created by G. Cisotto and M. Giordani, researchers of the DEI Unipd, and implemented by M. Avanzi and R. Coniglio, alumni of the same Dept.

NoBis has been firstly released at the DEI UniPD in autumn 2020, and then in the Municipality of Abano Terme in December, 2020 and has been awarded a Honorary Mention in the 2020 ComSoc Student Competition “Communications Technology Changing the World”.
