Francesca Meneghello, Fulbright-Schuman Scholarship winner

Francesca Meneghello, PostDoc in Telecommunications, won the prestigious Fulbright-Schuman scholarship, obtaining funding to carry out her research project “BeWise: Beamforming Security in Next-Generation Wireless Network” at Northeastern University (Portland, ME).

 

 

The Fulbright program is present in more than 160 counties (including Italy), is funded by the US Department of State and grants scholarships for a study or a research period in the USA, promoting the mutual understanding between people.  Specifically, the Fulbright-Schuman is co-funded by the European Commission and researchers from all over the European Union can participate in the competition. 

 

 

On Friday, Francesca, together with the Fulbright-Italy grantees has been received in Farnesina by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio. The Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy to Italy Thomas D. Smitham, the General Director for the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Pasquale Terracciano and the Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Italy Paola Sartorio also participated in the meeting. 

 

In the evening, the ambassador invited the grantees for a reception at his residence.
